-E437S High-Frequency Receiver
-The German Navy was tradition-bound and conservative. It sometimes took a decade or longer to adopt new radio systems. So it was for the E437S.
- The famous 6-circuit t-r-f or "straight-through" shortwave receiver Telefunken E437S replaced, in 1934, the 1929-designed 3-circuit receivers E363, E364, and E365. The receiver was used on Type II, Type VII, and Type IX U-boats, larger warship raiders, shore stations, and police stations.
